Experience: Boomerang
April to September 2026 · Six months
Freelance Creative · Publicis Groupe
Creative work across Mars brands.
I joined Boomerang’s creative team as a freelancer, working across Snickers, M&M’S, Maltesers, Extra and Twix. My work ranged from quick reactive posts and trend formats to larger campaign concepts, with a particular focus on humour and football culture.
Ideation & pitching
I developed concepts from the brief, found relevant social trends and wrote up ideas for internal pitches. That meant working out the format, the opening hook and how the brand would appear, then turning the chosen direction into scripts, creator briefs and plans for the content.
Creating & filming
I stayed involved in making the work. Across the projects, I created and filmed content, appeared on camera, developed interview questions and helped select and brief talent. For Snickers, I travelled to New York to host fan interviews about VAR across three days, speaking to more than 100 supporters.
Working through the edit
I worked with producers and editors to carry the idea into the final asset, briefing them on the story, pacing, text overlays and tone, then giving feedback through post production. The individual project pages show where I was involved and what was produced.

Experience: Smarts
September 2026 · Four weeks
Freelance Creative · In house placement
I spent four weeks working in house with Smarts’ creative team, developing ideas for Asda and Very. I worked across Asda’s Tickled Pink breast cancer awareness campaign, Halloween and Christmas activity, Very’s Christmas campaign and wider social strategy for Asda.
Concept development
I took on different campaign briefs and developed social ideas around each brand’s message, audience and seasonal moment. The work covered both a sensitive awareness campaign and retail campaigns, so each brief needed a different tone and creative approach.
Pitching & creative thinking
I developed the thinking behind the ideas and prepared them for internal and client pitches. My focus was on explaining the concept clearly: what the content would show, why it suited the brief and how it could work on social.
Campaigns & strategy
Alongside Asda’s campaign work, I contributed ideas for Very’s Christmas campaign, including ideation for paid social advertising. I also contributed to Asda’s social strategy. Working within the agency team meant moving between individual content ideas, campaign briefs and the wider direction for a brand’s social channels.
